Subject: G0 rapid not moving in mdi
Hi,
I am just setting up, and have not done a lot of testing to find out what my real issue is, but wanted to reachout to see if this has been encountered before.
I am using mach3, and commanding a move in mdi when in modal G0 results in no movement. G1 does have the expected movement though.

What I have obserdeved is that when I input a move in mdi when in g1 will result in movement for all respective axis. when I switch to g0 and command a move it does not move, I enter back to g1 and enter a commanded move and there is no movement until I turn reset off then on(just software mach3 reset). when the software is reset, it works again (only in g1 though)
I have not tested gcode in mach3 or kmotioncnc, but will tonight. I have not tested mdi in kmotion either.

If you have any immediate solutions, it would be greatly appreciated. Otherwise I will do so more testing and get back to you with more information later.

Greatly appreciated,
Rob

Hi Rob,
Are entering the MDI command as one line of code, like this for example?
G00 X-2.

Hi,
No. I separated them.
Get in g0 modal first... Enter.
then enter the commanded move.

Unfortunately I couldn't do testing last night to provide more info.

Thanks for asking.
